The sun shines and everyone is pulling their summer clothes from the back of the closet to find that they are a bit strong! So what does everyone do? Results salad! Many people think that lettuce, tomato and cucumber are adventurous like a salad, but can be spiced up with some of the ingredients of our favorites:

Watercress is a piece of spicy flavor that is full of vitamins C and K. a great source of calcium and contains plant chemicals associated with cancer prevention and minimization. It is a great liver detoxifier and also helps clean the blood. Why not try a watercress, zucchini and mint salad.

Avocados are full of heart-healthy fats that can help reduce cholesterol levels. A great source of vitamins C, E, B6, iron, magnesium and potassium, and have also been known to protect against cancer. Add the avocados in salads or use as sauce.

Asparagus has amazing levels of fiber that are important to your digestive health. A good source of vitamins C, E, magnesium, potassium and iron. Asparagus stimulates the growth of healthy bacteria in the stomach. Why not try a tomato and fresh asparagus dressing.

Kale is the king of vegetables when it comes to antioxidant levels. It contains more iron and calcium than any other vegetable and is a great source of vitamin C. Kale is best steamed and works well with a salad of bacon and egg.

Melons are packed with vitamin C and potassium helps prevent fluid retention. The fiber content in melons are useful in reducing cholesterol levels.
